Electro-Mechanical Technician (2nd and 3rd Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY

Repair and maintain plant equipment including product and water lines, food grade product conveyors, pump and motor replacements, perform preventive maintenance on high tech packing and process equipment to ensure efficient and uninterrupted production. Assist with urgent repairs on breakdowns when lines and machines are running product, allowing the speedy recovery of the process flow. Full rigging experience with the ability to safely relocate any production equipment as needed. Comply with all good manufacturing practices and food safety requirements.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of dairy plant maintenance experience.
• Trained by equipment manufacturer technicians.
• Able to perform industrial electrical repairs.
• Ability to perform stainless steel welding repairs.
• Boiler function and repair experience.

License/Certifications

• Welding certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Extensive knowledge of dairy plant equipment and process flow.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA’s)

• Perform preventive maintenance on packing equipment including pumps and plant piping.
• Perform preventive maintenance on steam equipment and city water and wastewater equipment.
• Assist with daily start up functions to ensure a smooth production run on various packing lines.
• Quickly address any radio calls by the production department on equipment failures and troubleshooting and repair.
• Rebuild high-cost machine parts including pumps and grinders.
• Proactive activities that Reduce Downtime.
• Correct knowledge and proper handling of hazardous chemicals.
