Electro-Mechanical Reliability Technician

About the Role

Picture your first-shift morning: you scan open work orders in the CMMS, prioritize preventive tasks, and head to the line to bring a semi-automated system back to peak performance. You read schematics and prints to pinpoint a fault, swap components, verify controls, and tune process parameters so yield and quality snap back into spec. Before lunch, you collaborate with manufacturing engineers on a new piece of development equipment, machining a quick fixture and validating operation. By afternoon, you’re coordinating a vendor service visit, documenting PM results, and coaching a teammate through a complex setup. That’s a typical day in this role.

What You’ll Do

• Own both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for production assets with minimal supervision, ensuring maximum uptime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and controls issues using schematics, drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Improve performance by modifying equipment and processes; partner closely with manufacturing engineers and assist with production/assembly activities to keep floor operations flowing.
• Support qualification, debugging, and repair of Production and Development machinery and systems.
• Source and purchase parts and components needed for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Machine or modify mechanical components and production fixturing as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for service contractors and vendors.
• Ensure proper functionality of semi-automated equipment and related systems.
• Monitor machine, tool, and process performance; correct equipment faults or process settings that drive nonconforming product, low yield, or quality issues.
• Train peers on equipment setup, technical repairs, and maintenance best practices.
• Record work performed, PM results, and corrective actions in the CMMS.
• Take on additional related duties as assigned.

Schedule

This is a first-shift opportunity. Flexibility is occasionally required to support preventive maintenance windows, production overtime, and evolving business needs.

Preferred Skill

• Experience with industrial controls, including diagnosing and repairing PLC‑related issues.

Qualifications

• High School or Vocational/Technical diploma required.
• Associate’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting ability.
• Read and interpret technical drawings/prints.
• Clear, concise technical writing skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Computer proficiency appropriate to the role.
• High initiative and a strong work ethic.
