Electro-Mechanical Reliability Technician
Location: Howell, MI 48843
A day in the life
When your shift begins, you scan the maintenance queue, review the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule, and walk the line to spot early signs of wear. Within the first hour, you’re tuning a conveyor, inspecting a hydraulic pump for leaks, and verifying that a 480V circuit is locked out before testing. Throughout the day, you respond to calls from production, pinpointing root causes, documenting each action, and collaborating closely with operators to keep throughput on target.
By afternoon, you’re assisting with the installation of a new piece of equipment—aligning shafts, checking electrical terminations, and validating pneumatic actuators. You wrap up by updating maintenance records, tidying the work area, and handing off clear notes for the next tech in case of an on-call request over the weekend.

- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults to reduce downtime.
- Execute inspections and scheduled PMs to sustain peak equipment performance.
