Title: Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician
Duration: Contract - FTE
Location: Portland, OR
Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician – The Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician assembles, wires, tests, and troubleshoots electro mechanical systems used in automation products. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring products are built to specification and meet quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Installing, testing, and assembling electromechanical equipment, including electrical enclosures, back panels, control panels, wiring assemblies, and automated machinery used in pharmacy automation systems
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair work
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical circuits, mechanical assemblies, and electronic components
- Following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control procedures and safely handling sensitive electronic components and assemblies within an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment
- Calibrating, configuring, and modifying equipment to meet operational standards and safety regulations
- Performing equipment assembly, system integration, functional testing, inspection, and troubleshooting activities to ensure products meet quality and performance requirements prior to shipment.
- Collaborating with engineers and other technical staff to improve system designs and troubleshoot complex issues
- Maintaining detailed records of assembly activities, testing results, inspections, troubleshooting efforts, and product quality documentation.
- Cooperatively provides hands-on job function training to co-workers as needed.
- Must understand and comply with Safety, 5S, ISO, and other corporate programs, initiatives and procedures.
- Dependable and consistent attendance is critical for team performance and productivity.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned.
Skills Required:- Hands on experience through apprenticeships, internships, or prior work in a manufacturing setting is highly valued.
- Strong team skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external groups as part of various initiatives.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills.
