    Description

Build, stabilize, and elevate automated production

Imagine you’re on the line when a vision sensor flags a misalignment. You isolate the fault, tweak the robot path, verify with gauges, log the fix in CMMS, and coach the operator on a better check. Later, you adjust an adhesive dispense profile during a changeover, then stay late to push a servo drive swap so the morning crew starts strong. That blend of hands-on skill, systems thinking, and documentation is exactly what we’re looking for.

    Where you’ll work

High-automation manufacturing with robotic cells, PLC/HMI controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and soldering processes. Schedules can be irregular. You will encounter chemicals, high voltage, loud noise, and hazardous waste—safety and environmental compliance are non-negotiable, including proper hazardous material handling and disposal.

    Your impact by level

    Level 1: Foundation

    • Start up/shut down equipment and execute changeovers.
    • Quickly respond to production interruptions to maximize availability.
    • Troubleshoot fundamentals across pneumatics, soldering, robots, tip changers, and assembly fixtures.
    • Handle barrel/drum changes, weight checks, and changeover tasks.
    • Work with multiple adhesive types; resolve dispense issues.
    • Track PMs and repairs in CMMS; share updates in crossover meetings and equipment logs.
    • Understand production metrics and escalation paths.
    • Follow all HSE policies and applicable regulations; handle hazardous materials correctly.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Level 2: Systems troubleshooting

    • Carry forward all Level 1 work, plus:
    • Diagnose PLC programs, hydraulics, pneumatics, servo drives, and vision systems.
    • Interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic prints, and blueprints; replace hydraulic/pneumatic components.
    • Rebuild solder heads; troubleshoot robot programs.
    • Use gauging fixtures for quality verification.
    • Adhere to all HSE requirements; additional duties as assigned.

Level 3: Programming and optimization leader

    • Extend all Level 2 scope, plus:
    • Edit robot paths; teach and calibrate vision systems; implement HMI modifications.
    • Create/modify PLC ladder logic and HMI applications; produce pneumatic diagrams and electrical schematics.
    • Apply GD&T and metrology; leverage industrial network protocols.
    • Improve soldering processes; perform servo drive replacements and tuning.
    • Generate blueprints/drawings and contribute to engineering design.
    • Train technicians and operators; support assessments and deliver targeted training.
    • Lead problem-solving, continuous improvement, and departmental initiatives.
    • Maintain HSE compliance; additional duties as assigned.
