Electro Mechanical Assembler 1st Shift Boonton, NJ

Operating in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment, this position utilizes hand and power tools, sets up basic production machinery, builds wire harnesses, and uses basic computer systems for work tracking and documentation. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler performs complex and diversified assembly, wiring, fitting, adjusting, and aligning of intricate parts for a variety of products working from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and SAP schedules.

Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Location:  Boonton, NJ 07005 (Right-to-Hire; 6 Openings)
Pay rate: $18.00 - $18.25/hr base pay (Note: Effective in Nov. 2025, all new starts receive a 30% increase to base pay to cover client compensation package; contractor will lose the 30% increase at permanent conversion, but will gain company benefits including PTO and holiday pay)
Work schedule: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as required)

Overview
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler performs complex and diversified assembly, wiring, fitting, adjusting, and aligning of intricate parts for a variety of products working from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and SAP schedules. Operating in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment, this position utilizes hand and power tools, sets up basic production machinery, builds wire harnesses, and uses basic computer systems for work tracking and documentation.

Job Specifications

• Assemble and wire complex electro-mechanical equipment, sub-assemblies, and harness assemblies following blueprints, schematics, models, and work instructions
• Perform skilled fitting, adjusting, and precision aligning of parts within close tolerances
• Set up, operate, and maintain production machines such as component engravers, presses, crimpers, riveting machines, and encapsulation equipment
• Perform basic computer operations to monitor/report job status, track component availability, access digital prints, and input data into Excel or SAP databases
• Build harness assemblies and perform thru-hole PCB assembly as needed
• Utilize hand and power tools safely while adhering to quality standards and 5S clean room/workplace organization principles
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience required (mechanical assembly experience paired with electrical/electronic safety knowledge is acceptable)
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and color-coded component schemes required
• High level of workmanship, attention to detail, and good verbal communication skills required
• Flexibility to perform various operations across home and cross-functional departments as needed
