    Paladin Consulting is currently hiring an ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Electrician to join our team working onsite at our client's office located in St. Petersburg, FL.

    Job Title:  Electrician
    Work Location:  St. Petersburg, FL
    Duration:  Long-term contract with option to hire

    Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with potential OT
    Education/Experience Required:  H.S. diploma or GED and Trade School with applicable years of experience to obtain license

    Job Description:
    • As an Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities.
    • This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function.
    • They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
    • This is an onsite role in a manufacturing environment developing aircraft engines, avionics, and flight systems.
    • Electrician will headquarter out of the Largo, Florida location and support the other locations (Saint Pete and Lake Suzy) as needed (see below).
      • Largo and Saint Pete locations are 5-10 miles apart.
    • Manager is looking for candidates who are looking for something long-term. Their goal is convert to full-time and get people trained up to their highest potential
    Resource's typical working day:
    • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
    • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
    Responsibilities:
    • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
    • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
    • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
    • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
    • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
    • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
    • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
    • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with client values. May convince to reach an agreement.
    • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
    • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
    • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
    Skills & Qualifications:
    • Journeyman or Master Electrician License
    • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
    • 5-7 years expeirence
    • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
    • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
    • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
    • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
    • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
     Licenses/Certifications:
    • Journeyman's license
    Must Have Skills:
    • Commercial Electrical experience
      • *Residential only experience will not be considered*
