Description

This position is responsible for maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.

Examples of Duties

• Understanding and applying blueprints and technical diagrams
• Using various devices, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools
• Installing or replacing wiring, lighting, electrical controls, breakers and other electrical devices
• Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems in homes and businesses
• Adhering to state and local building regulations. Completing work orders on time
• Documenting the work completed and materials used
• Working with other electricians, general contractors, architects and other team members
• Assisting other trades, when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical School completion with some experience
