Nucor Fastener Indiana is currently seeking an Electrician for its St. Joe, IN location to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize critical plant machinery on a 2-3-2 continental night shift. The ideal candidate will have at least a 2-year electrical degree or 3–5 years of industrial experience, strong PLC/motor control skills, and a commitment to upholding safety policies.
Work shift:
Longer Days, Fewer Workdays: Because the shifts are 12 hours long, you only work 7 days out of every 14 days (totaling 84 hours over two weeks).
Built-in Long Weekends: Every other week, you get a full 3-day weekend off (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Night Hours: Because it is a night shift, your work hours run from dusk to dawn (7 PM to 7 AM), meaning your sleep and personal time center around daytime hours.

Job Duties
Execute preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and commissioning on industrial plant equipment
Maintain, service, and calibrate motors, power distribution systems, control circuits, electronics, and test instruments
Program, build, and troubleshoot PLC systems to assist with operational process improvement projects
Utilize CMMS software to manage work orders, order replacement parts, and coordinate maintenance schedules
Lead, implement, and strictly enforce site safety standards, policies, and housekeeping practices across operations
Job Requirements
2-year electrical technical degree or 3–5 years of technical electrical experience (4-year degree preferred)
Willingness to work a 7 PM–7 AM, 2-3-2 continental night shift including weekends, holidays, and overtime
Demonstrated expertise in AC/DC motors, drives, control circuits, power systems, and PLCs
Working knowledge of schematics, digital/analog electronics, CMMS software, and fluid power systems (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
