Position Overview
Wesworth Electric is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Service Technician to support an electrical installation project at a location in North Carolina.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with commercial electrical systems, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs. The initial assignment will allow the technician to become familiar with the existing installation, equipment, and system configuration, with the potential for an ongoing service agreement to provide maintenance and troubleshooting when needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with and become familiar with the current electrical installation at the Walmart location.
- Understand the equipment, wiring, connections, and system configuration.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify potential causes of equipment failures.
- Perform electrical service, repairs, and maintenance as needed.
- Respond to service calls when issues arise at the location.
- Follow applicable electrical codes, safety procedures, and company standards.
- Communicate findings, repairs, and recommendations clearly to the company.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in commercial electrical work.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, conduit, panels, circuits, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose electrical problems and work independently within the scope of their qualifications.
- Familiarity with electrical plans, equipment installation, and applicable NEC requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to the Walmart project location in North Carolina.
Employment Arrangement
- Initial assignment: Temporary work during the current installation project.
- Potential continuation: Approximately one-year service agreement following the initial assignment.
- Compensation: Hourly rate to be agreed upon based on experience and scope of work.
- Schedule: Based on installation requirements and future service calls.
The long-term arrangement is intended for a technician who can become familiar with the installation and provide dependable service when needed.
