Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our production team in Millington, MD. This individual will be responsible for installing electrical systems and components into custom-built metal equipment centers, ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, safety requirements, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, electrical installation experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install switchgear and electrical components into custom-built metal equipment centers.
  • Plan layouts and install wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment, including switches, relays, and circuit breakers.
  • Run conduit and install cable trays.
  • Read, interpret, and execute work based on electrical drawings, schematics, and engineered designs.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, test, and verify electrical systems and components.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, customer specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed. 
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 18 months of experience in the electrical field or as an Electrical Helper preferred.
  • Experience installing electrical systems, wiring, switchgear, and control equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, grinders, and saws.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
