Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 5 months (with potential for extension and conversion to full-time employment)
  • Pay Rate: $42.00 $44.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM, with potential overtime
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

As an Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. This is an onsite role in a manufacturing environment developing aircraft engines, avionics, and flight systems. The manager is looking for candidates who are seeking something long-term, with a goal to convert to full-time and develop people to their highest potential. The electrician will headquarter out of the Largo, Florida location and support other locations (Saint Pete and Lake Suzy) as needed; Largo and Saint Pete locations are 5 10 miles apart.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Required Skills

  • Commercial electrical experience required (*residential-only experience will not be considered*)
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions
  • Basic computer/tablet skills
  • Highly professional attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Skills

  • Eager to learn

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with applicable years of experience to obtain license
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License required
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes
  • Valid Driver's License required

Required Experience

  • 5 7 years of job-related electrical experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Onsite role in a manufacturing environment
  • Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders
  • Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
  • Overtime required as needed
  • Travel to support Saint Pete and Lake Suzy locations as needed (Largo and Saint Pete are 5 10 miles apart)

  • Background package: CBRE Safety Specific with drug screen and MVR required
  • Interview process: 1st round phone or virtual; 2nd round virtual if needed
