Job Overview:
Job Summary:**
Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a skilled Electrician for the Desert Pine BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components within a large-scale energy storage facility, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and local/national electrical codes.
* Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on BESS electrical systems, including batteries, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions, utilizing various testing devices and tools.
* Connect electrical power to equipment, ensuring proper grounding and safety protocols are followed.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
* Document work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
* Operate and maintain a variety of electrical tools and equipment.
* Assist in the training and supervision of apprentice electricians as needed.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
* Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the relevant state/jurisdiction.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, preferably within renewable energy, industrial, or utility settings.
* Demonstrated knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and practices, including AC/DC circuits, control systems, and power distribution.
* Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) or large-scale electrical infrastructure is a significant advantage.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant local electrical codes.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding construction environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Must be able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
* OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
