Overview:
Electrical maintenance supporting a wide variety of electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Complete preventative maintenance tickets (PM’s)
- Inspect electrical equipment daily
- Installation and repair of equipment
- Inspect production lines daily
- Troubleshoot equipment failures
- Work with shift operation supervision to advise equipment down time as required
- Assist with departmental mill support and maintenance.
- Assist contractors in repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- A strong safety record with competent knowledge of electrical safety.
- High proficiency with electrical troubleshooting along with critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
- Know and understand electrical principles and electronics
- Programing experience with Rockwell PLC’s, HMIs, and their associated systems.
- Knowledge of diverse electrical equipment
- Proficient with electrical instruments, hand and power tools
- Experience with instrumentation and process equipment for measurements of flow, level, pressure, temperature, and other similar devices.
- Transformers, switchgear, motors and low voltage motor controls.
- Understanding electrical schematics and drawings.
- Strong communications skills
Preferred
- Mechanical aptitude, compressed air systems, fire protection systems, AutoCAD or equivalent for maintaining and updating drawings.
- Power Distribution up to 34.5kV, substation knowledge, and medium voltage motors with associated motor controls.
- Experience with networks and associated protocols
- Experience working on high bay overhead cranes
