Job Title: Electrician C
Job Summary
Under training and close supervision, the Electrician C assembles, installs, tests, and maintains low-voltage electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures in accordance with engineering prints and work instructions. This role is designed for individuals developing foundational electrical skills within a manufacturing environment and supports Vac-Con's production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic systems under supervision
- Perform wiring of standard systems in accordance with prints, including:
- Hose reel control panels
- Engine compartment wiring
- Valve body wiring
- Tank switches
- Tail lights and backup alarms
- Assist with diagnosing basic electrical issues using test equipment
- Follow established work instructions, safety standards, and quality procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in alignment with Lean 5S principles
- Support team members and supervisors as directed
Education & Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Basic electrical training required, including:
- Proper crimping techniques
- Basic hand tools and their uses
- Low-voltage electrical circuits
Experience
- 0-3 years of electrical experience preferred
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
Technical Skills & Tools
- Ability to read and follow basic electrical prints and schematics
- Experience using the following tools and equipment:
- Ohmmeters
- Voltmeters
- Test lights
- Wire crimpers and wire strippers
- Completion of Lean 5S training or willingness to complete required coursework
