This position includes but is not limited to:
• The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of electrical principles and practical experience as it relates to the electrical maintenance function.
• The technician will provide electrical support to the production crews, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and automation systems.
• The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:• Two-year degree, successful completion of electrical trade school, or a minimum of three years industrial experience or military.
• Knowledge of automation and networking equipment and processes such as PID/closed loop control systems, networking tools and standards, Variable Frequency Drive experience (ABB, AB), and HMI programming and troubleshooting

Preferences:• NFPA 70E training and applied experience
• Overhead crane knowledge and repair experience • Basis pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge
