At LAKO, our Electrical Technicians play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. We're passionate about delivering high-quality solutions to our customers, and our technicians help make that happen through electrical troubleshooting, wiring, maintenance, and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams to support innovative packaging equipment and ensure exceptional performance.
LAKO Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components used in our precision tooling and manufacturing equipment. This role involves working with electrical wiring, motor controls, power distribution systems, and industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production processes.

Electrical Installation & Wiring
- Install, wire, and connect electrical components and equipment
- Assemble and wire control panels and electrical assemblies
- Route and terminate wiring according to electrical schematics and standards
- Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities
- Verify electrical systems meet applicable codes and safety standards
Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in production equipment
- Repair or replace motors, relays, contactors, sensors, breakers, switches, and other electrical components
- Perform electrical testing using meters and diagnostic equipment
- Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions
- Support production teams in minimizing equipment downtime
Maintenance & Reliability
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Inspect electrical panels, wiring, motors, and controls for wear or safety concerns
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders
- Ensure equipment remains compliant with company safety policies and applicable electrical codes
Documentation & Support
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues
- Assist with continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability and efficiency

Education
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or a related technical field preferred
- Technical certification, apprenticeship, trade school education, or equivalent work experience will be considered
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- 2-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance or electrical technician experience preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and industrial electrical systems
- Experience with motors, motor controls, and power distribution systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes
- Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters
- Experience with panel wiring and electrical component installation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
