Electrical Technician- Backfill

BlueWave is hiring an Electrical Technician for an engineering and manufacturing client based in the Austin area, Texas. This hands-on role will install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for heavy industrial equipment while supporting machine assembly and testing.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, panels, controls, motors, drives, and instrumentation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Support automation integration and equipment commissioning.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams.
• Perform work safely in shop, construction, outdoor, and confined-space environments.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• At least one year of related industrial electrical experience.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work extended hours or weekends and travel as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Electrical licensing, high-voltage, automation, or instrumentation experience preferred.

Employment Type: Full-Time, onsite contract-to-hire in the Austin area, Texas, with potential conversion within one to six months
