    Electrical Superintendent- Working Superintendent- Must be licensed in AL

    A growing commercial construction and operational technology company is hiring a hands-on Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical field work on commercial building projects within 30 miles of Montgomery, AL. This role is ideal for a field leader who can own daily electrical execution, coordinate crews and subcontractors, solve problems in the field, and help build the Montgomery-area electrical team for a fast-growing company.

    Location: Within 30 miles of Montgomery, AL

    Start Date: ASAP

    Work Setting: Primarily onsite at commercial construction jobsites in the Montgomery area, with coordination through the Mobile, AL home office

    Role Type: Direct Hire

    Openings: 1

    Pay Rate: Depends on electrical leadership experience, technical skill set, and field capability

    Travel: Primarily local Montgomery-area work; may include occasional travel to Mobile, AL and possible overnight stays

    Responsibilities

    • Lead daily electrical field execution on commercial construction and service projects.
    • Coordinate electricians, apprentices, interns, subcontractors, and trade partners.
    • Help mentor and train the Montgomery intern program in safe, professional field practices.
    • Oversee commercial electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, startup support, inspection readiness, and punch list completion.
    • Work across conduit, feeders, branch circuits, panels, switchgear, lighting, controls-adjacent systems, low-voltage coordination, equipment connections, grounding, labeling, and commercial building infrastructure.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, submittals, one-lines, panel schedules, shop drawings, and project documentation.
    • Plan manpower, materials, tools, and daily field priorities.
    • Identify field conflicts and coordinate practical solutions with Project Managers, customers, inspectors, and other trades.
    • Support startup, testing, commissioning support, closeout, and turnover activity.
    • Maintain awareness of material needs, shortages, delays, change conditions, and field constraints.
    • Enforce NEC, OSHA, company, customer, and jobsite safety requirements.
    • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
    • Model strong craftsmanship, reliability, communication, professionalism, and jobsite conduct.

    Qualifications

    • Journeyman or Master Electrician license
    • 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
    • Prior electrical superintendent, foreman, lead electrician, or field-lead experience.
    • Strong commercial electrical troubleshooting and field coordination ability.
    • Experience leading conduit, wire, panels, feeders, lighting, equipment connections, low-voltage coordination, power distribution, and punch list work.
    • Ability to read construction drawings, one-lines, specifications, submittals, panel schedules, and shop drawings.
    • Strong field problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally, including possible trips to Mobile, AL.
    • Ability to work outdoors, climb ladders/scaffolding/rooftops/aerial lifts, lift up to 75 lbs, and work in mechanical/electrical rooms, rooftops, ceilings, active jobsites, and occupied facilities.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience leading apprentices, interns, journeymen, subcontractors, or mixed trade crews.
    • Experience with commercial facilities, healthcare, education, municipal, aviation, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
    • Experience with inspections, startup support, commissioning support, closeout, and owner turnover.
    • Experience in a smaller or growing company where leaders wear multiple hats and help build process.
