General Superintendent

Our client is an established electrical contractor supporting commercial and industrial construction projects. They are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee field operations, develop field leaders, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.

Job Description

Oversee electrical field operations across multiple commercial and industrial construction projects. Lead and mentor superintendents, foremen, and field personnel, establishing clear expectations for safety, quality, and performance. Coordinate manpower, resources, and installation schedules with project management teams. Monitor field progress and productivity, addressing issues that could affect project schedules or budgets. Ensure electrical installations meet project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards. Promote safe work practices and accountability across active construction sites. Resolve field challenges and coordinate with clients, general contractors, and other trades. Support the development of field leaders through coaching, training, and ongoing feedback.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Electrical Superintendent should have:

  • 15-20 years of electrical construction experience, including 10+ years in field supervision or management.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing electrical work on active commercial or industrial construction sites.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects, field teams, and competing priorities.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative, adaptable leadership style with a commitment to developing others.
