Hy-Tek Material Handling Job Description Title: Electrical Site Supervisor Department: Installation Supervisor: Manager, Electrical Field Operations Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Must be able to resolve electrical-mechanical issues and equipment errors on automated material handling systems.
- Must be able to perform repair and preventive maintenance on systems.
- Responsible for on-site set-up, programming, and customer training.
- Must have experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) troubleshooting, debugging, and programming.
- Usage of technical drawing to diagnose any mechanical and electrical problems.
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Responsible for on-site training, set-up, and programming.
- Responsible for touching base with customer on completed work.
- Ensure you are touching base with other departments to reach resolution.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: - Associates degree from vocational school or college with focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2+ years of experience in the electronics field
- Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components – photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers. and encoders.
- Knowledge of PLC programs; ability to troubleshoot ladder logic and modify the PLC program as needed
- Ability to interpret and modify mechanical and electrical drawings
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices
Working Conditions: - This is a 100% traveling position.
- Some weekend/night work required as needed.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Occasional climbing on steps, scaffolding and/or mezzanines.
- Sitting in and/or driving a vehicle for a long period of time.
- Working with computers for a long period of time.
- Working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
- Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.
