Our Team

As part of the broader Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) organization, our team partners with Commissioning, Construction, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Operations, and contractors to integrate electrical safety into project readiness and controlled system transition. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our employees and communities. We build capability in our people and resilience in our systems so hazards are identified early, critical controls are verified, and work is executed without serious injury or loss.

What You Will Do

  • Be present at commissioning project sites to support employee HSE needs and provide visible electrical-safety leadership.
  • Partner with Commissioning leadership to verify electrical-safety readiness before testing, switching, energization, substantial completion, and turnover, including review of work plans, isolation and switching plans, lockout/tagout, personnel qualifications, PPE, test equipment, and emergency-response arrangements.
  • Conduct field observations, walkdowns, audits, and risk assessments during commissioning and functional testing to verify approved methods and critical electrical-safety controls are understood and applied.
  • Independently verify required controls, equipment states, documentation, qualifications, and field conditions; document and escalate gaps, exercising stop-work or hold-point authority when material controls are incomplete.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Construction, Project Management, Operations, contractors, and customers to resolve readiness gaps, manage change, and communicate electrical-safety risks, trends, status, and follow-up actions.
  • Support incident and near-miss investigations, corrective actions, and integration of lessons learned into future commissioning plans, procedures, and training.
  • Facilitate commissioning-focused safety trainings.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience supporting electrical safety in utility-scale electrical systems, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910 and 1926 as applied to electrical work.
  • Experience reviewing or implementing lockout/tagout, electrically safe work conditions, job safety analyses, and electrical-risk controls.
  • Ability to evaluate field readiness, communicate gaps clearly, and work across Commissioning, Construction, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Operations, and contractor teams.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time between project sites across the U.S.
  • Must be located near a major airport

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Advanced utility-scale photovoltaic and battery energy storage system knowledge.
  • Relevant certification, such as Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP).
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Current NFPA 70E training.
  • Experience conducting compliance audits, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action verification.
  • Experience applying principle-based decision-making and safety-focused practices in a work environment.
