Position Summary:

The Electrical Reliability Engineer will provide day-to-day technical expertise and reliability support for the power distribution and major electrical equipment at the site. The successful candidate will join an integrated team, including process chemical, mechanical, and other Engineers. The responsibilities of the position include solution of electrical reliability problems, identifying and implementing electrical equipment improvements, and leading teams and/or projects for longer-term improvements and utility cost-savings initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Providing electrical engineering expertise for the major electrical equipment at the site.
• Troubleshooting major electrical issues & providing technical support to the operations & maintenance teams as required.
• Leading or participating on teams to upgrade electrical equipment ranging from incremental improvements to major technology changes.
• Executing the change management processes to execute improvements in equipment and control (Process change requests, Change of design, etc.).
• Ensure / support that adequate process related equipment maintenance systems and programs are in place and that such programs are operated in a safe and efficient manner and meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.
• Lead or take part in cross-functional teams, e.g. Reliability Centered Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma Teams, Investigations, or Equipment Improvement Teams.
• Develop and manage reliability program for electrical equipment, including specific work procedures, preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Support, develop and implement strategies for improving instrumentation and process monitoring equipment reliability.
• Analyze and drive utility usage & cost savings programs.
