The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.Responsibilities:Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreementsObtain licenses from appropriate authorities to insure all work complies to codesDetermine needed resources manpower, equipment and materials from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitationsPlan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be metAcquire equipment and material and monitor use and material levels to provide timely replenishments as needed.Supervise the work of all staff, sub-contractors etc. and give them guidance when neededEvaluate progress and prepare detailed reports as contractually requiredEnsure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issuesDetermine and define scope of work and deliverablesPredict resources needed to complete projectObtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisitesDraft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirementsManage costs in order to meet budgetProvide direction over contracts and subcontractsManage schedule and activitiesIssue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelinesEnsure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codesSelect and manage subcontractor and supplier relationshipsCoordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors and owners to insure timely invoice payments and collectionsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:Proven experience as an electrical project managerIn-depth understanding of electrical procedure, material and project management principlesComfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawingsFamiliarity with quality and health and safety standardsGood knowledge of MS Office products and SpreadsheetsFamiliarity with MS Project & BlueBeam softwareOutstanding communication and negotiation skillsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsA team player with leadership abilitiesPMP or equivalent certification will be an advantageBachelor's degree in related field recommended, but not requiredHigh degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
