Job DetailsWe are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Permanent Electrical Project Manager to join our team. This role is integral to our construction projects, requiring a professional with a strong background in electrical systems, project management, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing electrical projects within the construction industry, particularly schools and civic work. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, lead a dedicated team, and directly contribute to our company's success.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical construction projects from conception to completion while ensuring compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, timelines, and budget constraints.
2. Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management using Microsoft Project and Procore.
3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, interpreting and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings.
4. Conduct accurate project estimations and prepare comprehensive project proposals.
5. Develop and implement project strategies, ensuring all project phases are progressing smoothly and efficiently.
6. Ensure electrical safety measures are strictly adhered to across all projects.
7. Lead and inspire project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
8. Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and keep stakeholders informed of the project's status.
9. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors, ensuring all materials and equipment are delivered on time.
10. Resolve any project-related issues or disputes, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project management within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in managing projects related to schools and civic work.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Procore, and Blue Beam.
5. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprint reading, and electrical safety regulations.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
7. Strong budgeting skills with a proven track record of delivering projects within budget.
8. Exceptional risk management skills and the ability to foresee potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors.
10. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve project-related issues efficiently.
11. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
