Project Manager - Electrical Construction

Location: Atlanta, GA

Type: Direct hire

Pay: $125K - $150K

Industry: Commercial construction

Summary

This position requires up to 50% travel to project sites nationwide.

The Project Manager is responsible for project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of electrical construction projects from hand off to close out
  • Collaborate with pre-construction teams to ensure seamless project transition
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
  • Track and manage deliverables including submittals, shop drawings, procurement schedules, and close out documentation
  • Coordinate field operations, including crew allocation, layout, and conflict resolution
  • Perform detailed material take-offs and cost analysis
  • Create, manage, and negotiate change orders and scope modifications
  • Generate and track Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timely and successful completion

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in project management within the electrical construction industry
  • Experience managing remodels or retrofit projects for big-box retail clients is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical materials, systems, and equipment
  • Prior field experience in electrical construction is required
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Bluebeam or Procore
  • Knowledgeable with Excel and MS Office Suite
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% nationwide
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
