Join our team in Los Angeles, California, a vibrant city known for its diverse culture, innovative industries, and dynamic growth opportunities. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will report to the Project Manager and work on the exciting L.A. Metro Purple Line 2/3 Extension projects.
Responsibilities
- Track, review, and process Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications, and claims, if applicable.
- Monitor job costs, maintain accurate reports, and assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in preparing quantity reports, analyzing labor costs, and completing quarterly profit project records.
- Manage the preparation and execution of the project closeout process.
- Research and propose solutions to quality control issues.
- Verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
- Provide support to the project leadership as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of construction industry experience.
- Field Engineer experience preferred.
- Experience with electrical contracting is a plus.
- Traffic/Street Lighting experience is a plus.
- Understanding of contracting fundamentals and familiarity with large-scale mass transit/transportation projects.
- Organized with the ability to manage a system or discipline.
- Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and influence.
- Business-oriented mindset.
