    Description

    Electrical Project Engineer
    What You'll Do:
    • Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning while ensuring schedules, budgets, and customer requirements are met.
    • Design and develop electrical control systems for custom machinery and automation equipment.
    • Develop and modify PLC programs, HMI applications, safety systems, and motion control systems.
    • Configure and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley Kinetix servo systems, PowerFlex drives, and related automation hardware.
    • Create and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of material using AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks Electrical.
    • Perform electrical design calculations including circuit protection, conductor sizing, power distribution, and component selection.
    • Provide technical support to electrical assembly personnel during panel construction, machine wiring, and system integration.
    • Review and update electrical documentation to reflect design changes and as built machine configurations.
    • Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation issues during assembly, testing, startup, and commissioning.
    • Conduct machine testing, I/O verification, system validation, and customer acceptance activities.
    • Travel to customer facilities as required for equipment startup, troubleshooting, training, and commissioning support.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation including schematics, bills of material, operating manuals, and revision records.
    • Support project estimating, component selection, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    What You Bring:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience designing and implementing industrial automation and control systems.
    • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk View, PowerFlex drives, and Kinetix servo systems.
    • Experience with industrial networking, motion control, and machine safety systems.
    • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panel design, machine wiring, and commissioning.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks Electrical.
    • Knowledge of UL508A, NEC, NFPA, and industrial safety standards.
    • Experience performing electrical calculations and component sizing.
    • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
