We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is critical to ensure the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art production facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems to support our operations. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical controls, motors, and automation, along with a strong mechanical maintenance background. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the electrical and mechanical systems to identify and fix faults before they cause breakdowns.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues including electrical controls, motors, and automation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and technical manuals.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement new electrical and mechanical systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Document maintenance and repair work for future reference and reporting purposes.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to enhance their technical skills.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in the engineering industry.
- Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting, motors, and automation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical controls and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Superior technical skills with a hands-on approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Valid certification as an Electrician or similar role is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, if required.
