Temp-to-Perm | Full-Time | 1st Shift
$30-$33/hr.


TempExperts is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician III for an industrial facility in Greenville, SC. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical and facility equipment while supporting preventive maintenance and safe, reliable facility operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working with 480V three-phase systems, and the ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues across a variety of industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and facility equipment.

  • Diagnose electrical systems and components including motors, VFDs, PLCs, controls, lighting, HVAC equipment, and other facility systems.

  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems up to 480V three-phase.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules and CMMS work orders.

  • Troubleshoot AC/DC drives, relay logic, single-loop controllers, motors, MCCs, inverters, and related electrical components.

  • Troubleshoot equipment involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and prints.

  • Update electrical prints and schematics when modifications are made.

  • Use electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, hand tools, and computerized maintenance systems.

  • Identify potential equipment failures and recommend maintenance or equipment improvements.

  • Respond to work orders and maintenance requests while maintaining compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.

  • Follow proper Lockout/Tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and other workplace safety practices.

  • Perform general mechanical and facility maintenance as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance electrician experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V three-phase.

  • Experience with motors, VFDs, PLCs, controls, MCCs, and electrical distribution equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.

  • Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical calculations.

  • Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in an industrial environment.

  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Ability to obtain required site access credentials.

Preferred:

  • Technical or vocational training in industrial electrical maintenance.

  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, AC/DC drives, relay logic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

  • Experience using CMMS systems for preventive maintenance and work-order management.
