Front Desk Administrative Assistant / Accounting Clerk

The Front Desk Administrative Assistant / Accounting Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Danieli Corporation office by delivering comprehensive administrative support to internal staff and external clients. Serving as the primary point of contact for all administrative needs, this position exemplifies excellence in service, accountability, and collaboration. This role is expected to proactively identify and address support opportunities that enhance both internal operations and external customer interactions. All responsibilities are carried out with discretion, accuracy, and a commitment to team goals.

Tasks and Day-to-Day Activities in the Role:

  • Assist the Finance Department with various assigned duties, including but not limited to filing, reviewing expense reports, processing invoices, etc.
  • Welcome visitors and guests with professionalism, offer refreshments, and ensure a positive first impression.
  • Ensure reception and common areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of conference rooms.
  • Coordinate group lunch orders upon request to support meetings and team gatherings.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of office supplies and kitchen essentials; place orders as needed to support daily operations.
  • Prepare business cards and stationery orders from third-party vendors.
  • Accept and sign for deliveries; maintain accurate records of incoming items.
  • Collect, sort, and distribute incoming postal mail to appropriate recipients.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of company-wide mailings and communications.
  • Provide administrative support for fleet vehicle management.
  • Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for Danieli staff on an as-needed basis.
  • Support the HR Department with planning, coordination, and execution of company-sponsored events, such as parties and picnics, ensuring all logistical and hospitality details are managed effectively.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative or accounting support roles.
  • Familiarity with accounting practices and office procedures a plus.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, One, World, Docuware) a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

In this position, you will disassemble, evaluate, and assemble steel mill equipment upwards of 70,000 pounds, including mill stands, shears, straighteners, caster oscillators, rollers, mill mandrels, levelers, and gearboxes. The Service Center has been designed to repair and service the majority of Danieli equipment installed in their Melt Shops and Rolling Mills that are worn, in need of minor repair, have damaged parts, or need a complete overhaul.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble large Industrial gear boxes, shears, and mandrels.
  • Reassemble of mill equipment to meet Danieli Standards.
  • Inspection of mill equipment.
  • Be able to read and understand drawings and specs for equipment.
  • Inspect dimensions of equipment using micrometers.
  • Perform basic welding tasks.
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, cranes, square rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • Able to utilize a grinder to grind space defined by micrometers.
  • Must be able to use shop tools such as hydraulic presses, cutting torches, and basic hand tools such as drill press, grinder, and lathes.
  • Cleaning of equipment to a very high standard.

Requirements:

  • Experience with overhead crane usage, rigging techniques, and crane rigging.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to use torch cutting equipment & set up and operate small job machinery such as drill press, manual lathe, grinder, and MIG stick welder.
  • Must be willing to work overtime in the evenings and weekends when required.
  • Position requires lifting heavy objects more than 50 lbs.
  • Position requires plant floor activity 90% of the time in a non-climate environment.
  • Relevant steel industry experience is a major plus.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test, ongoing random drug testing.
  • Physical lifting and audiogram testing.
  • Authorized to work in the USA.
  • Position is drug screen and background contingent.

Danieli is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to work in Apple Grove, West Virginia. The Electrical Maintenance Technician must be committed to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others around them.

Electricians are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems while working individually or as a part of a team with other maintenance personnel in the following areas: electronic instrumentations, DCS, electrical distribution, pneumatic, hydraulic control systems, and control valves.

  • Electrician performs a wide range of tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained.

Requirements:

  • Two-year degree in industrial electrical maintenance technology.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components, inverters.
  • Proven hands-on AC & DC motors and drives, sensors, and actuators experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Power distribution systems maintenance.
  • Proven hands-on PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&IDs.
  • Maintenance experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a steelmaking plant with arc furnace, casting, or rolling maintenance experience.
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
