Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking licensed Electrical Journeymen for a high-demand manufacturing opportunity in Oklahoma City. This position supports the assembly and electrical integration of specialized equipment and skids being manufactured for use in data center facilities.

This work is performed in a manufacturing environment, not inside an active data center. Journeymen will focus on electrical equipment assembly, factory integration, equipment hookups, medium-voltage terminations, power distribution systems, and cable tray work.

This is not a conduit installation position.

Candidates must hold a valid Oklahoma Journeyman Electrician License and be prepared for the current extended production schedule of approximately 72 hours per week.

Required Experience & Skills

• Valid Oklahoma Journeyman Electrician License required
• Previous industrial or commercial electrical experience
• Experience with electrical equipment hookups and terminations
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Experience following project specifications
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safe electrical work practices
• Ability to inspect completed electrical work for accuracy and quality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work extended shifts and mandatory overtime as required
• Comfortable working approximately 72 hours per week under the current production schedule
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical components for data center equipment
• Wire electrical equipment and manufactured skids
• Complete factory electrical integration
• Perform equipment hookups
• Install and connect plug-and-play power distribution systems
• Perform electrical terminations
• Complete medium-voltage terminations as assigned
• Install and work with cable tray systems
• Route applicable cables and wiring through equipment assemblies
• Read and follow electrical drawings
• Interpret electrical schematics
• Follow project specifications and assembly requirements
• Verify electrical connections before equipment completion
• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
• Identify wiring or installation concerns
• Correct electrical issues when required
• Follow all applicable electrical codes and workplace safety procedures
• Prepare completed equipment and skids for shipment to data center locations
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Perform additional electrical assembly and integration duties as assigned

Data Center Equipment Assembly

The equipment being manufactured will ultimately be installed at data center locations, but the electrical work for this position takes place within a manufacturing facility.

Candidates may work on:

• Data center equipment skids
• Electrical power equipment
• Power distribution assemblies
• Factory-integrated electrical systems
• Plug-and-play power distribution systems
• Cable tray systems
• Electrical equipment connections
• Medium-voltage components and terminations

Completed equipment and skids are prepared for shipment to their final data center locations.

Factory Electrical Integration

Responsibilities may include:

• Installing electrical components onto manufactured equipment
• Wiring components according to engineered drawings
• Completing equipment hookups
• Routing and connecting electrical cables
• Integrating power distribution components
• Verifying electrical connections
• Inspecting completed assemblies
• Troubleshooting installation concerns
• Preparing integrated equipment for final inspection and shipment

Medium-Voltage Terminations

Medium-voltage experience is preferred.

Qualified Journeymen may be responsible for:

• Preparing cables for termination
• Completing medium-voltage terminations
• Following applicable termination procedures
• Verifying connection quality
• Maintaining proper workmanship throughout the termination process
• Following applicable electrical and safety requirements

Cable Tray Work

This position includes cable tray installation and related electrical work.

Responsibilities may include:

• Installing cable tray systems on equipment and skids
• Routing electrical cables
• Maintaining proper cable organization
• Following drawings and specified routing requirements
• Supporting efficient factory integration of electrical systems

No Conduit Installation

This position is specifically focused on equipment assembly and electrical integration rather than traditional conduit installation.

Blueprint & Schematic Responsibilities

Candidates must be able to:

• Read electrical drawings

• Verify completed installations against drawings
• Identify discrepancies before equipment is released for shipment

Quality Responsibilities

• Inspect completed electrical work
• Verify wiring and connections are accurate

• Correct electrical issues when necessary
• Ensure completed equipment matches applicable drawings and specifications
• Help ensure equipment is properly prepared before shipment

Schedule & Overtime Requirements

The current production schedule is:

• Monday–Saturday
• 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Approximately 72 hours per week

Candidates must be prepared to work the extended schedule and overtime required by current production demands.

Transportation & Driving

• Reliable transportation to and from the Oklahoma City facility is required
• No driving is required as part of the job duties

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and remain physically active throughout extended shifts
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, positioning, pushing, and pulling
• Manual dexterity required for electrical wiring and termination work
• Ability to safely use electrical hand and power tools
• Comfortable working around electrical equipment, manufactured skids, cable trays, and production machinery
• Ability to perform hands-on electrical assembly throughout 12-hour shifts
• Ability to safely wear all required PPE

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing and electrical assembly environment
• Work is performed in a manufacturing facility, not an active data center
