Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman for an immediate opportunity in Yukon, OK. This position is supporting a growing commercial electrical team experiencing increased workload and offers the potential for long-term employment for dependable, skilled Electricians.
The work is primarily focused on commercial remodels and renovations rather than ground-up construction, including apartment developments, hotels, car washes, and similar commercial projects.
Candidates must hold an Unlimited Electrical Journeyman License and have strong commercial electrical and troubleshooting experience. Following permanent hire, there is potential for continued local work throughout the Oklahoma City area.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Unlimited Electrical Journeyman License required
Commercial electrical experience required
Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
Ability to safely work with 120V480V electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and project specifications
Experience performing commercial installations and finish-out work
Reliable transportation required until permanent hire
Basic hand tools required
Work boots required
Ability to safely work from ladders and lifts
Ability to work in confined spaces when required
Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on project requirements
Dependable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform commercial electrical installations
Complete electrical work associated with remodel and renovation projects
Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify faults
Diagnose and repair electrical problems efficiently
Perform electrical maintenance and service work
Complete electrical finish-out work
Install and modify wiring, circuits, and related components
Work with electrical systems ranging from 120V through 480V
Read and follow electrical blueprints and project specifications
Use ladders and lifts safely
Work in confined spaces when project requirements dictate
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all company and job-site safety requirements
Perform additional commercial electrical responsibilities as assigned
Commercial Project Work

Commercial renovations
Building conversions
Electrical service work
Maintenance and troubleshooting
Electrical finish-out projects
Candidates with previous experience in these types of commercial environments are strongly preferred.

Commercial branch circuits

Conduit and wiring
Commercial service equipment
Electrical troubleshooting and repair
Troubleshooting & Service Responsibilities
Diagnose electrical problems in existing commercial facilities
Identify failed components, wiring issues, or circuit problems
Perform repairs according to applicable requirements
Troubleshoot existing systems during remodel projects
Coordinate repairs with project personnel
Verify completed work operates correctly
Communicate significant electrical concerns to supervisors
Blueprint & Project Responsibilities
Read and interpret electrical blueprints
Review applicable project specifications
Identify circuit and equipment requirements
Follow project drawings during installation and remodel work
Complete installations according to required layouts
Identify discrepancies or potential project concerns
Coordinate questions with appropriate project personnel
Tools, Transportation & Equipment
Candidates must initially provide:
Reliable personal transportation
Basic electrical hand tools
Appropriate work boots
A company vehicle may be provided after permanent hire.
Candidates may also regularly work with:

Required job-site PPE
Permits and inspections are handled by the company.

Screening Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
7-year background check
10-panel drug screen
Compliance with a zero-tolerance drug policy
Compliance with a zero-tolerance theft policy
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely climb and work from ladders and lifts
Ability to work in confined spaces when required
Manual dexterity required for electrical installation and troubleshooting
Ability to safely use electrical hand and power tools
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Ability to safely perform physically demanding commercial electrical work while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Commercial electrical construction, remodel, and service environment
Primarily existing-building remodels and renovations rather than new construction
Regular work around electrical systems, conduit, wiring, panels, ladders, lifts, and construction equipment
Combination of indoor and outdoor project work
Stable MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 3:30 PM schedule
Some weekend work or emergency call-ins may occur depending on project needs
Strong emphasis on safety, quality, troubleshooting ability, and dependable attendance
