Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical I&C Designer Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD design within industrial, municipal, water, wastewater, or process control environments. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, as well as a strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation design.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and instrumentation design drawings.
• Interpret engineering sketches, markups, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with electrical symbols, drafting standards, and engineering documentation practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, Technical Certificate, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Three years of CAD design experience in industrial, municipal, water, wastewater, or process control environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Understanding of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Familiarity with PLC and SCADA platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Ignition, Wonderware, and Aveva.
• Experience working with consulting engineering firms.
• Understanding of ISA standards and industry best practices.
• Experience performing field verification and redline updates.
