Mister Sparky of Northwest Kentucky, a locally veteran-owned electrical contractor, is hiring a full-time Electrical Helper in Owensboro. We serve homeowners and businesses in Owensboro, Henderson, Madisonville, and surrounding communities.
You will support our electricians with the preparation, organization, and physical work that keeps each job moving. We are looking for someone who shows up on time, follows instructions, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn. Previous electrical experience is helpful, but construction, maintenance, or other hands-on experience is also welcome.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Gather, carry, load, and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
• Set up work areas and protect customers’ homes and belongings.
• Keep work areas, service vehicles, tools, and materials clean and organized.
• Assist electricians with assigned jobsite tasks under their direction and supervision, within the limits of applicable licensing requirements.
• Help with digging, material preparation, and other physical support tasks as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures, use required protective equipment, and report hazards promptly.
• Treat customers and coworkers professionally and respectfully.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to take direction, accept feedback, and work as part of a team.
• Basic measuring and math skills and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Reliable transportation to work; a valid driver’s license if assigned driving duties.
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including carrying materials, using ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• A commitment to safe work and leaving each jobsite clean.
