    Description

    Electrical General Foreman

    GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Cedar Rapids, IA looking to add an Electrical General Foreman to their team. The role is a Direct Hire position.

    Responsibilities :
    • Responsible for safety, scheduling, assignment and supervision of Client, work performance, material procurement and planning, quality control, communication with the project team, and onsite customer relations.
    • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools to determine where issues may be occurring.
    • Oversee system safety to ensure compatibility.
    • Document actions, testing results, observations, and final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation.
    • Determine necessary steps to assess electrical situations and troubleshoot using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
    • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements.
    • Report all policy violations, procedures, and guidelines to supervisor.
    • Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties.
    • Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely.
    • Maintain and ensure general housekeeping of work areas.
    • Utilize required tools and equipment for each specific task as necessary.
    Qualifications :
    • 10+ years of experience in the electrical trade, with at least 4 years leading mission critical projects and electrical teams.
    • Ability to develop and manage construction schedules for large-scale projects and adjust as needed
    • Ability to contribute to installations or direct others through the installation and troubleshooting process
    • Ability to coordinate Client and resource needs effectively
    • Ability to coordinate or place material orders following price comparisons
    • Maintain compliance with company, state, and OSHA safety standards
    • Strong preference for NCCER, NFPA, or OSHA certifications.
