Electrical Foreman – Electrical Leadman

General Information/Job Summary
Basic function
Coordinates and directs the activities of craft personnel to complete construction and maintenance tasks in a timely, safe, and cost-efficient manner. Works under the direction of the General Foreman and/or Superintendent, supervising and directing the work of a group of craft or trade engaged in various tasks; does other related duties as required.

Responsibilities
- Musthave a broad workingknowledge of their assigned craft (scaffolding, insulation, carpentry, pipefitting, equipmentoperation/rigging,instrument/electrical,welding) and have the same basic aptitude and interests as those working in the craft being supervised.
- Must demonstrate an aboveaverageknowledge of all facets of their trade and haveextensive personal experience performing in the trade.
- Must possess knowledge of safety procedures and havegood interpersonal and communicationskills. Responsible for promoting safety awareness and for enforcing safety policies.
- Develops effective work plans, givesassignments/instructionstoworkcrewsandsupervisestheirworkactivity.
- Must possess ability to motivate members of work crew and ensure that the crew under their supervision completes their assignedtaskssafely,skillfully,andefficiently,andthatassignedworkprogresses on schedule.
- Must be able to read and visualize objects from blueprints and have an eyeforprecise detail.
- Communicate withsupervisor to keep them informed on progress of workassignments and/or any new problems.
- Estimates labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete workassignments.
- Inspects and tests or supervises inspection/testing of completed workassignments of crew, checking for compliance with project drawings, specifications, and quality control procedures.
- Prepares daily reports and maintains records and files. Maintainsinventory of material associated withassigned work.
- Recommends promotion/demotion of subordinates and also identifies training needs.
- Requiresworking in operating facilitiesandobservingandabidingbyadditionalsafetypoliciesand procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Four years of experience in work involving a variety of installations of conduit, cable tray, electrical buildings with gear 120-25kv, and cable pulls/terminations for instrumentation, 600 volt to 25kv. Must also be able to report progress that the crew has completed for the day and plan the next days required materials needed for the work.
- Foreman requires three years minimum of experience as an Industrial Electrical Foreman.
- Leadsman requires 1 year as an Industrial Electrical Leadsman/Foreman.
Safety Requirements
- On a continual basis, it promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe workingenvironment and ensures compliance with all accompany policies.
- Ability to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.
- Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
- Presents safety meetings and attends specialty training as directed by management.
- Attend various training classes as may be assigned by management.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
- Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work.
- Must attend and successfully complete Supervisors Safety Training

- Knowledge of basic electrical safety practices
- Skillindiagnosingmalfunctionsinequipmentandidentifyingcorrectiveaction (troubleshooting skill)
- Knowledge of problems, procedures, and methods used in inspecting,analyzing, and determining work to be done.
- Ability to evaluatework conditions and quality, and to make decisionsregarding course of actions (decision making)
- Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment.
