    Electrical Estimator

    Summary:

    FindTalent is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join a dynamic team within the construction industry. This role involves analyzing project proposals, conducting detailed cost assessments, and ensuring accurate estimates for electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet project and business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review project scope, plans, and specifications to develop comprehensive labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor cost estimates.

    • Coordinate with subcontractors and external vendors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing for bids.

    • Develop and manage detailed estimate proposals, including various contract formats such as stipulated price, design-build, and construction/project management.

    • Present proposals to potential clients, ensuring alignment with their needs and project objectives.

    • Collaborate with project management teams to ensure seamless execution of awarded projects.

    • Generate accurate budgets from conceptual and schematic design phases through final estimates.

    • Provide support for field personnel by addressing concerns, offering documentation, and facilitating necessary project adjustments.

    • Maintain and update project cost data, unit pricing, and job tracking to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

    • Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients for continued project success.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience in substation and industrial electrical work).

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction, industrial, or utility contracting sector.

    • Proficiency in MS Office and industry-specific estimating software (experience with Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Job, Primavera, and MS Project preferred).

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, evaluate costs, and develop accurate estimates.

    • Ability to comprehend and apply technical writing related to electrical work, government contracts, and construction specifications.

    • Experience reviewing, editing, and creating contracts and project proposals.

    • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to anticipate potential challenges.

    • Familiarity with union agreements and regional industrial networks is preferred.

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present estimates professionally and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.
