Electrical Engineer

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an Electrical Engineer job in Wilmington, MA. This DIRECT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the aerospace and defense industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing electrical hardware for next generation autonomous UAS aircraft in collaboration with engineering and operations. In order to be successful in this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, five plus years of post-graduate experience, and strong PCB design, schematic capture, and layout skills. Preference will be given to someone with UAS, motor control, PixHawk, embedded C/C++, RF design, and FAA Part 107 experience.

Electrical Engineer Job responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and procure electrical hardware for autonomous vehicles.
• Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts with proper signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal management.
• Partner with mechanical engineers on form, fit, and function, and with software engineers on embedded firmware.
• Plan and conduct functional, environmental, and production testing of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, create production documentation, and support fab and assembly shops.
• Help establish design and testing standards, and support flight tests and customer demonstrations.

Qualifications:

• Five plus years of post-graduate experience
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Proficiency in PCB design and layout (Altium preferred), component selection, and DFM/DFT
• Experience simulating (LTspice), prototyping, and debugging analog and digital circuits
• Hands-on soldering, rework, and lab equipment skills
• Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship required
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

This direct hire Electrical Engineer job is based onsite in Wilmington, MA. The annual salary for this role ranges from $130,000 - $150,000.
