Standard Job Description

Lockheed Martin's Quality and Mission Success team is responsible for the integrity of complex weapon systems that safeguard our nation's defense. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who brings deep technical knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, the ability to solve demanding manufacturing challenges, and strong liaison skills to support Quality Engineering activities and ensure compliance with the Parts Materials and Process Control Plan (PMPCP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply thorough knowledge of EEE components (capacitors, connectors, sensors, actuators, RF modules, etc.) to evaluate design, production, and field performance.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to create quality standards, work instructions, and inspection/test procedures for electronic products.
• Serve as the primary contact for Quality Engineering matters, coordinating with manufacturing, suppliers, and program teams to resolve issues.
• Own compliance for all EEE aspects of the Parts Materials and Process Control Plan; maintain documentation, traceability, and audit readiness.
• Diagnose and resolve process and component level failures-from routine to complex-using formal problem solving methodologies (5 Why, FMEA, etc.).
• Produce clear technical reports, NCRs, corrective action plans, and presentations; maintain accurate records in accordance with LM policies and regulations.
• Build effective relationships across cross functional teams, foster a collaborative environment, and mentor junior staff.
• Operate with minimal supervision while meeting schedule and quality targets.
• Utilize Microsoft Office suite (including Access) for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen and have ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
• BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Experience in electronics production, assembly, testing, and component‑level failure analysis
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve process issues ranging from basic to highly complex
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Capability to read engineering drawings and specifications to develop quality standards, test methods, and work instructions

Desired Skills

• Active Secret clearance at time of hire
• Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
• Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six‑Sigma Green/Black Belt
• Experience with AS9100, MIL‑STD‑883, IPC standards, or other aerospace/defense quality systems
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP) and reliability prediction methods (e.g., MIL‑HDBK‑217F)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
