Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join their client's team in Scotts Valley, California. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in designing, testing, and documenting electrical systems for industrial control products. The position offers an immersive experience in real-world hardware development and manufacturing, collaborating with experienced engineers in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout activities.
  • Support the assembly, bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes.
  • Perform electrical measurements using oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Help identify and resolve hardware design, component, and test-related issues.
  • Support testing involving embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware-integrated products.
  • Prepare and update engineering documentation, technical reports, and engineering change orders.
  • Collaborate with electrical, firmware, test, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
  • Follow established engineering, documentation, and safety practices.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing, nearing completion of, or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Coursework, projects, or internship experience involving analog and digital circuit design.
  • Basic understanding of circuit theory, electronic components, and PCB design.
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, or KiCad.
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, or similar laboratory equipment.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or firmware development is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work full-time and 100% onsite in Scotts Valley, California.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, full-time, 100% onsite.
