Job Description and Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical control systems for oil and gas downhole tools and surface control systems.
Design magnetic devices (transformers, inductors) for downhole applications.
PCB/PCA layout using Altium.
Prepare technical reports and documentation.
Collaborate with other disciplines for oil and gas systems integration.
Work on troubleshooting production test equipment.
Support manufacturing production lines with tool performance and testing.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of electrical equipment.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Education and Training:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of industry experience preferred.
Experience with electrical design (analog and digital circuits) and control systems.
Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
General Requirements / Technical Requirements & Skills:
Electrical Systems design.
Experience with embedded firmware (using C and assembly) for Microchip product suite.
Experience with hardware simulation tools (power and signal integrity, electromagnetics, thermal management, etc).
Experience with Matlab and LabView.
Altium or similar PCB design experience.
Ability to apply basic soldering (SMT and thru-hole).
Version Control using GitHub.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
Must have a valid driver's license and record that conforms to the Company's insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State regulations.
