Electrical Engineer

Summary:

• Location: Oshkosh, WI
• Duration: 3 Months

Responsibilities:

• Design functional, reliable, and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle high voltage electrical systems.
• Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design of electrical systems and subsystems for existing and new vehicles.
• Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned.
• Support senior engineers in preparing basic plans, designs, computation methods, and reports.
• Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines internally and suppliers externally.
• Design electrical parts and components to correct parameters and specifications while incorporating quality, cost reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
• Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production builds, including resolution of manufacturing problems.
• Process engineering information through change notices, change proposals, and thorough print documentation.
• Regular attendance is required.

Requirements:

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with internship experience or six or more months of related work experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.
• Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol.
• Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s).
• Power Electronics and Machines familiarity.
• Energy Storage system familiarity.
