    Description

    Job Overview:

    • We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our close-knit team.
    • This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our customers electrical systems under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
    • Responsibilities include electrical design, power system analysis, project management, and providing technical support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Arc Flash Analysis: Perform and/or provide oversight for short circuit calculations, medium and low-voltage coordination evaluations to optimize protective relay and breaker settings, and arc flash studies in compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other industry standards. Perform on-site data collection activities, as needed
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards
    • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare engineering documents (e.g., drawings, sketches, instructions, inputs, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to industry codes, standards, and regulations to support client engineering needs

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
    • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with power system studies using electrical modeling software (SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power, etc.)
    • Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems and data centers (NFPA 70 & 70E, and IEEE 1584)
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to travel 10%-20%; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks

    Must Have:

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with power system studies.
    • Hands-on experience using electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power).
    • Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and criteria (e.g., NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584).
    • Proficiency in performing arc flash studies, short circuit calculations, and medium/low-voltage coordination evaluations.
    • Strong ability to prepare engineering documents (e.g., drawings, calculations, evaluations).
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
    • Willingness to travel 10%-20%, with potential trips lasting a few days to a few weeks.
