    Seeking a rockstar Electrical Engineer with an active PE license, minimum 5 years of commercial building inspections, and (ASNT) Level II Thermography certificate – for Miami Dade & Broward County condominium recertifications. ASAP.

    YOU NEED:


    • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a PE license in Florida;
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial building inspections;
    • A Level II Thermography certificate (ASNT);
    • Efficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, Risa 3D, Solid Works, MS Office, electrical engineering design & analysis software;
    • Ability to write and articulate analyses, consolidate others’ findings and evaluate facts & recommendations;
    • Knowledge of electrical engineering design practices, including the NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), IEEE C2 (National Electrical Safety Code), and the International Building Code;
    • Knowledge of local, state, federal laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting electrical engineering design;
    • Knowledge of related architectural and engineering fields and associated impacts as related to electrical engineering design;
    • Knowledge of and full compliance with Safety Policy and Guidance and use of personal protective equipment;
    • Fast-learning, superb communication and client relationship management;
    • Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing pressure environment; 
    • Strong time management and focus on fundamentals & technical writing;
    • A positive, proactive and team-first personality;
    • Ability to work remote and travel; 
    • A valid driver's license and authorization to work in the US.

    IN A NUTSHELL…

    The required Electrical Recertification inspections & reports confirm that both the building as well as habitable and non-habitable areas, are safe for continued use under present occupancy. Under the electrical recertification inspection, the engineer will look at:

    • Electric services;
    • Branch circuits;
    • Conduit raceways;
    • Emergency lighting;
    • Gutters;
    • Electrical panels;
    • Grounding of equipment;
    • Service conductor & cables;
    • Wiring methods;
    • Feeder conductors;
    • Parking illumination.

    YOU WILL:

    • Perform thorough building electrical inspections for compliance with Florida Building Codes, safety and energy codes, Miami Dade & Broward County Rules and other requirements;
    • Read building plans and specifications to compare with actual construction;
    • Prepare building inspection reports, including outlines, assessments and correction recommendations;
    • Respond to property owners, contractors, architects and engineers inquiring on codes & compliance procedures;
    • Perform office work as required, including but not limited to attending meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, copying and filing documents, etc.;
    • Conduct Zooms and collaborate  with other StoneSquads;
    • Interact with supervisors, property owners, developers, contractors, architects, engineers, trade workers, etc.;
    • Operate a vehicle and a variety of equipment, including a computer, calculator, copier, phone, small hand tools, etc.
