Electrical Engineer – Embedded Systems & PCB Design Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development of a new medical device within a growing product development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with hands-on electronics and printed circuit board (PCB) experience who wants to expand their technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers.

The engineer will contribute to electrical design, embedded systems integration, testing, troubleshooting, and product development in a collaborative, laboratory-based environment.
    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the design, development, testing, and verification of electrical hardware and embedded systems for medical devices.

    • Contribute to printed circuit board (PCB) design, circuit development, and electrical component integration.

    • Assist with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design and troubleshooting.

    • Support embedded systems development involving microcontrollers and firmware written in C/C++.

    • Perform hands-on testing, debugging, and integration of electrical and embedded systems.

    • Develop and support test fixtures, test procedures, and automated testing activities.

    • Assist with design verification and validation activities, including technical documentation.

    • Collaborate with electrical engineers, software engineers, research and development, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.

    • Support the transition of product designs from development into manufacturing.

    • Follow established quality and documentation processes within a regulated medical device environment.
    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

    • Approximately 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience preferred; candidates with at least one year of hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.

    • Practical experience with printed circuit board (PCB) design, development, or testing.

    • Foundational knowledge of analog and digital electronics and circuit design.

    • Exposure to embedded systems, microcontrollers, or firmware development.

    • Experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, debugging, or test fixture development.

    • Ability to work hands-on in a laboratory and manufacturing environment.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team.

    • Willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical expertise with guidance from senior engineers.
    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with medical device development or other regulated products.

    • Familiarity with PCB design software such as Altium or OrCAD.

    • Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers and embedded C/C++ programming.

    • Exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), or communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-232, or Ethernet.

    • Familiarity with design verification and validation processes or ISO 13485 quality management requirements.

    • Experience developing test fixtures, testing procedures, or automated testing tools.

      Why Consider This Opportunity?
Join a collaborative engineering team developing a new medical device product. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to hardware design and product development while learning from experienced engineers and expanding your skills across electronics, embedded systems, testing, and medical device engineering.
