Description

Constellation Search Group is looking for an Electrical Engineer for a full-time permanent position. The role involves designing industrial control panels, creating wiring plans, and developing ladder logic schematics. The engineer will set up and test telecommunications devices, power generators, and other electrical systems. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with sales staff and other engineers to address client needs and ensure products meet electrical and safety standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical control panels and related field equipment.
  • Assist others with testing and troubleshooting electrical control panels.
  • Write installation instructions for use by field technicians.
  • Specify bills of materials for control panels and other electrical designs.
  • Calculate and ensure safe electrical load distribution.
  • Use AutoCAD LT or Eplan to design ladder logic and component layouts.
  • Develop programs for programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Communicate effectively with other departments.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of electrical or related experience required; 5 years preferred, particularly in industrial control design.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical systems and engineering.
  • Familiarity with electronics, sensors, and signal types (e.g., 4-20ma).
  • Proficient with design concepts, procedures, and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to comply with UL508A, NFPA70, & IEC standards.
  • Experience with AutoCAD LT and MS Office; Eplan experience preferred.
  • Optional experience with ladder logic software such as Cscape (Horner PLCs).
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking.
