The Electrical Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in wastewater treatment that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer that has 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering related to wastewater treatment plants and facilities to work a hybrid schedule and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week). Work sites are in the Van Nuys and Los Angeles areas.
Projects may include:
- Advanced Water Purification Facilities (AWPF)
- Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) for treatment plants
- Maintenance Projects at Wastewater Treatment Plants
- Rehabilitation and replacement of equipment at Wastewater Treatment Plants
As an Electrical Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Follows up with planning, research, and verification of electrical design modifications for electrical and instrumentation systems at a Water Reclamation Plant.
- Provides professional electrical engineering support, including feasibility studies, preventive maintenance procedures, and control systems design.
- Supports the design of Advanced Water Purification Facilities (AWPF) and various upcoming Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) at two plant locations.
- Collaborates with electricians and instrument mechanics on inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of plant electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Prepares and reviews detailed engineering reports and complex relay coordination and integration studies to optimize system performance.
- Update existing electrical plans/matching as-builts with field conditions, planning projects to maintain longevity, responding to and reviewing electrical related RFIs and submittals on on-going construction projects.
