    Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year

    Location: On-site position based in Knoxville, Tennessee, working closely with in-house multidisciplinary design teams. Relocation support is available.

    Job Description

    • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire protection, and life safety

    • Develop medium- and low-voltage systems and one-line diagrams

    • Perform load flow studies, arc flash analysis, and power factor correction

    • Design generator, emergency power, and UPS systems

    • Support projects tied to power distribution systems, commercial/industrial building design, utility work, and energy/solar infrastructure (as applicable)

    • Ensure compliance with NEC and applicable standards

    • Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams

    • Manage and mentor electrical design staff

    • Produce specifications and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit

    • Review, sign, and seal electrical drawings and deliverables as required

    Qualifications

    • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (U.S. state board) — required

    • Active NCEES Record — required (education, exams, and experience verified; ready for multi-state reciprocity)

    • Must have passed the PE Electrical exam (Power, Electronics, Controls, or Computer; Power is common for building/infrastructure work)

    • Ability to sign and seal electrical drawings — required

    • 4+ years of professional electrical engineering experience

    • Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety standards

    • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

    • Background in power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems

    • Ability to lead projects and collaborate within a team environment

    Not Qualified For This Role

    • EIT only

    • Working toward PE

    • Expired or inactive PE license

    • Unable to sign/seal drawings

    • No active NCEES Record
