    Project Summary

    This position supports the Emergency Post-Hurricane Lowell Facility Damage Assessment at PMRF Barking Sands, and several remote sites in Kauai. Operating under a NAVFAC Pacific Command solicitation, the purpose of this immediate-action contract phase is to evaluate damage from Hurricane Lowell with 92 MPH gusts and 17 inches of rain across multiple facilities, and miles of fencing. On-ground assessment duration is short: deployment imminent.
    Special conditions include strict federal base access approvals (DBIDS), entirely contractor-furnished logistics (post-storm environment), and air-freighted field operations with no initial barge dependencies.
    All logistics and accommodations provided.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Conducts targeted Tier 2 electrical infrastructure inspections across the cantonment and airfield areas.
    • Evaluates storm damage to medium-to-low voltage powerhouse components, substations, and critical airfield lighting systems.
    • Performs initial energization safety reviews and interfaces with safety teams to manage electrical hazards and compromised utility wiring.
    Qualifications & Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) designation or active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
    • Solid experience evaluating commercial/industrial power distribution systems and specialized airfield lighting systems.
    US Naval Facilities Specific
    • Thorough understanding of NAVFAC electrical system operations, UFC 3-501-01, and Navy airfield electrical safety guidelines.
